These odd callouts don’t address ops day events. We had four events that led to ops day. Ops day led to open forum of ideas. Open forum of ideas led to a small population of already angry people that want it like their last place and had an open opportunity for them to vocalize it all at once. Conveniently, at a time when the company needed to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Whola… enjoy your callouts.

they shared 4 events. We had over 30 in 2 yrs.
Not saying the callout will fix it. It was straight training, the inability to fail anyone, and lower than normal experience being hired that the training didnt match amd then fianlly, mostly cpts, sitting in their hands and not being invloved in the flight.

True story. I have a buddy in the FAA that said they were going to pull the certificate because Citrus was missing too many radio calls being busy doing callouts and just saying "gear"

So I heard this year’s CQ discusses seat positioning. If the individual can’t figure out how to position his/her seat properly so as not to put the aircraft in a steep dive over water, that individual probably shouldn’t be employed here.

As you said - just like they only show 4 events for ops day, it wasn't just one person sitting in the wrong position, and it wasn't just seat position that caused the "steep dive". It's an item that was seen frequently enough it was deemed worth spending a few minutes on during this years CQ.

Seems like the ops day lessons didn't fully sink in as we continue to have similar events occurring on the line very recently. So no doubt we will continue to receive more training.

You will hear in CQ that the ops day events didn’t stop. We have still had events after ops day.

The seat position session seems comical but I flew with a guy that said he’d never noticed the heading bug info on the bottom of the PFD so…

I did like the V1 cuts for St. Maarten. Made me think of my Eagle days.

Suddenly …… Liberty realises that he shouldn’t have been verifying the heading from the MCP. What other magic will he discover in the coming years, and who will he blame its existence on ? 😈
