Just a few things to think about.
- On our pilot calls they said if we took PBS more pay would come?
- Look at the percentage of increase our CEO receive for his pay increase?
- If we can't compare our selves to the Legacies how about Alaskan?
- When you make a big investment like buying a car do you take the first deal they bring to you?
When you vote on this contract think about those things and are we still low cost pilot?

WTF is wrong with you guys that keep knocking other airlines? You make us look like a bunch of insecure babies. To the one guy’s point - how can we argue that we aren’t discount pilots when we concede the one possible advantage we had to just about everyone else (line bid with transition) for a large % less pay AND PBS. Is it delusional for me to view this in the industry wide regard rather than how it effects me personally? I’m willing to wait a little longer. Why take almost legacy work rules for way less than big 4 pay. If you guys thinking this is good enough by looking at the bullet points still have your green lanyard burn it right now please. At least stop wearing it.

I understand the outside opinions and largely agree with them. However this is Spirit with our own set of issues.
If we vote yes we start the clock on negotiating for the next contract to get even more gains. If we vote no, we likely will have to wait 2 years just to get a similar TA. I'm not willing to be out of the cash for another 2 years and push the next contract down the road 2 years or more.
I always vote no on everything. This time I'm voting yes because this is the best deal we can get and a no vote will keep us at this low pay for a very long time.

LOL! Why would they even care to know anything about us. We are nothing but a low tier bottom feeder to them.

No offense, but weren't your coworkers all paying for their own type ratings a few years ago? WN might be the land of milk and honey and kumbaya today but it wasn't that long ago that it was a stepping stone to a 'real airline' (whatever that is) that was emptying trailer parks with every departure. Frontier guys pay for their own hotel rooms in training and how many Delta guys were PFT back at ASA years ago? It's easy to look down and forget everything you were to get where you are today.
I know someone chimed in about United in four years and my honest opinion is that UAL will furlough 3,000+ within five years and will be negotiating back those raises. I won't have a problem making $240/hour as a 4th year captain versus a $150/hour 4th year FO with major gains in LTD and scope that will guarantee that I'll be around to fight the next fight. It's been a long fight and our bird in hand versus two in the bush nets a 4th year captain nearly a $100k pay raise. Is it worth risking another year with no LTD or scope for another $10-20k?
That's something each NK pilot will have to decide. It's not a home run but it puts us within grenade range of most everyone else and with the hard fought, and won, protections and retirement in place we'll be in a better position on the next go around.

Your prediction is that United will be negotiating back their rates and Spirit will still be sitting at $240/hr?
Your prediction is after the fire and brimstone you will still be a CA at Spirit making 240K/hr and not an FO?
It appears you are trying to justify a sub par contract by saying soon we will be even when everything falls apart. When everything falls apart it will fall apart at Spirit as well.
How is it that Spirit pilots don’t have loss of medical insurance? If you are so scared of losing your medical go to Harvey Watt or AOPA and buy a policy, they aren’t that expensive. I had one at the regionals. Company offered LTD is not free you will be paying for it, although probably slightly cheaper. I get why you want it and agree it is extremely important to have but to vote out of fear of losing your medical when you can go out and protect yourself and your family today is extremely short sighted.

First off it all is going to come down to the TA’d language and the PBS LOA that none of us has seen. Then it’s going to be about whether you think it’s worth waiting a year or more to get some small gains in pay, DC%, and rig language. I really don’t think we are keeping line bidding or transition. That ship has sailed and everyone knows it...
There are a lot of things I’m unhappy about in the AIP but it’s also a lot of money to leave on the table hoping to gain a few bucks and QOL improvements while praying you don’t get sick or have a big merger/buy out/code share announced. It’s going to be a tough decision...
