Yeah, because you all (70%, I apologize to the 30%) voted out all of the awesome qualities associated with Line Bidding. And I’ll guarantee that the majority of you will Waive the 4 Days off as well, because it would be such a dominant Preference in a PBS system.

I was simply disputing the suggestion that somehow we would be even worse off under PBS than we are now under line bidding. The point is, now that transition conflict is gone, PBS with the improved rigs should result in superior schedules than the garbage lines we are used to seeing around here.

garbage in, garbage out, if the pairings are garbage, the pbs built lines will be garbage. 20hr min 4 day x 4 is 80 hour 14 days off(30day month). 27hr 4day x 3 is 81 hr line with 18 days off(30 day month). I dont expect to see many 4 days over 20-21 hours

At the 3.5 trip rig a line that only credits 20 hours is 70ish hours TAFB. I doubt that is or will be the majority of your 4-days.

We should have kept TXC until PBS is implemented. Why we gave that up among other goodies beats the hell out of me.

Just look at the quality of your Relief Line and how many of your requests they honored. That will tell you all you need to know about future PBS lines.

P.S. BKbigfish... LOVE the name!

It should be noted that relief line builds are done by actual people where PBS is all computerized. Also PBS is not a "line bidding system" it arranges an assortment of pairings based on the parameters you set.

Maybe I should have said pairings are getting worse, because that is definitely a huge part of it. For instance, there seemed to be many more 18 hr 4 days because of long layover.
