The latter has to do with weather patterns generated near a large body of water.

I think it’s been proven here by multiple people....be an adult and get your own hotel and expense it. You will get reimbursed. You may think it runs perfectly at other carriers but they have their meltdowns too. SWA computer crash, AA canceling flights due to staffing...

I personally like the fact that if the CS phone queue goes above a certain number (mid 30s), an automated voice tells you your call can’t be completed and hangs up on you so you’re left calling over and over just to try and join the 1-2 hour queue. No major meltdown required for that either; happened just last week.

My experience has not been the same when calling the CP. these were non meltdown scenarios though. More like no hotel booked and the normal hotel on the pairing is sold out and a convention in town. Told them specifically where there were rooms that I had found but they didn’t want to just make it happen.

The language is clear cut that when they forget to book the room then you can call the CP and request to expense it (saw it done once as an FO), but the situation I keep finding myself in lately is they will book a room but it may or may not be CBA compliant due to the primary hotel being sold out.
It’s not right but at that point you should just grieve it.
