lol, thanks for the hot tip. Next you'll maybe tell us that the sun will rise in the east in the morning. Same can be said for any airline, Legacy, Major, or Regional and any pilot who has been here since COVID knows all too well. But the fact remains that the base rates in the new regional contracts do not contractually revert back. Please stop spreading that false narrative.

Okay genius, why don’t you read the question I was answering first. Nobody’s pay is secure in bankruptcy.

We are closer to bankruptcy than SkyWest and we are not that close.

As long as Teddy & Team get theirs I’m happy to be making less than regional pilots. /sarcasm

Even more reason our rates shouldn’t start at less than $2xx fo and $3xx ca.

They get as much as they negotiate. If I wanted the $15M bad enough I’d be trying harder to be an airline ceo of a company that gets acquired. Let’s not make ourselves seem like FAs that complain that pilots have better layovers and make more money. I always tell them they are free to try and become pilots.

Anyway hopefully now Ted and crew will stop trying to sabotage this deal since they are getting their money.

Even given Regional airlines at the moment, though, aren't all their giant pay raise contracts on all 2-3 terms, including SkyWest; and then it reverts back?
Mesa rates are permanent. Well as permanent as anything is, but there’s no roll back. I can’t speak for certain on sky west but I don’t think theirs has a rollback either.

Given inflation supply and demand etc I think it’ll last. It’s an overall realignment. It’ll come to spirit and mainline. But make no mistake - the target here is the ULCCs and the hunter is mainline and the bullet is the regionals.
