Obviously it won’t be a full new hire ground school, but it’s also possible between paperwork/docs/blue propaganda and benefits/etc it may be more efficient to run a short in person indoc. I would imagine NK pilots would need some form of sim PC check with B6 procedures to fly on their operating certificate. Seems like 3-4-5 days could handle all this and could be done anywhere with a sim, and fly out some HR people.
All the 220 training, including indoc, is completed on the ipad. And they are looking to move the other fleets to similar training.

My point is a certain amount of that, but not all, will need to be done with NK pilots and FAs, and that it might be easier to do it in person over a day or two. Pilots will probably need some kind of sim or checkout to fly on the B6 operating cert, or maybe not if they get a waiver for 320 to 320.
I just realized how much I don’t care about any of this…

B6 will get the FAA's buy-in on a Transition Plan-- it will be the agreed upon course of action. I'm sure it will be abbreviated. For those who want to read more: https://fsims.faa.gov/wdocs/8900.1/v03%20tech%20admin/chapter%2034/03_034_001_chg_224a.htm

Which is why I said the bulk of any in person would more likely revolve around HR stuff and the “culture” that B6 is so invested in. Could it all be done remotely, sure, but we are looking at new benefits, insurance, retirement custodian, etc etc. Then we will need to get new ID’s, new tablets, etc from flight ops, could it be done by mail, sure. Could NK crew records and HR send over everything, sure.
I don’t how it will go down and it’s not up to me, but it’s not a long stretch to see it may just be easier to do a 1-2 day in person indoc summary and a sim.

But like you said a few posts ago, who really cares?
TPA, JCBA ISL...those are my concerns. I couldn't care less about what I need to do in 2+ years to fly the same airplane

You have mentioned sim twice. They said a sim isnt necessary and can be done using distance learning. Im literally telling you what they announced when asked this question, you dont need to "imagine" what sims will be necessary, they said it isnt.

The one good thing is JetBlue training could not be more relaxed if you tried.

For the third time, I could give a flying fornication how B6 handles indoc. I was giving an opinion, not an absolute. You can have an opinion too, but saying some unnamed person sort of lightly addressed something on an investor call ain’t exactly stone carved facts to impeach me talking out my APU. It’s ok not to know everything, you’re not Bluedriver.
