As mentioned, it is irrelevant. The Captain of KLM Flight 4805 had a lot of experience. The Captain of USAir 1702 had a lot of experience. We can go on and on.

Stop fishing.

Shy, really? I've asked you before to PLEASE wipe your feet before walking into the NKS forum. You're tracking your feces through our livingroom

I've seen the ECAM report, and I guarantee, at touchdown, you would still be trying to figure out which way is up.

I'm not buying the hit piece Mr Hradecky is selling. Just like the d0uchbag stalking pilot's instagram accounts.

Go ahead and do that. Read the very simple mistakes that were made by a very experienced crew and then report back to us all about how their experience "mattered" in that situation.

One could argue that a pilot with less experience, say a newbie, would have been less likely to respond with a lax "we'll handle that airborne" when the plane is alerting you, or as you say "going bonkers" on the take off roll.

Also as I've said before I'll say it again. Many captains new to a type have been captains on other types for years. The beauty of spirit is that with one fleet type it's a guarantee that any pilots hired since we got the airbus have all had the added experience of being an fo in the type. Whereas at another airline it's quite likely that you could have a pilot that's been a captain for 25 years on a 737 transition straight to the left seat of a 777 or A330. Would you be asking the same experience questions of that guy? I doubt it.

ShyGuy- you tried to get on at Spirit before you got hired at VA. Had you slipped between the cracks you would have been a 2.5 year upgrade. Would you have bypassed to because you needed more experience??? Back to trolling I see.

Do you guys do many overnights down south (BOG, LIM, etc) or are they mostly out and backs?

LIM is it, and it's a good one! I used to layover in SJU about twice a week, but that ended a couple of years ago, and I haven't been back since...
