Spirit of NKS
I'm middle of the pack and I think this is a pretty fair system.
Unless you add a secondary open time, there is no way to have instantaneous trip trade, but in seniority order.
I think your missing my point. DOT it is first come first serve which I think is fair. If several people try to trade at the same time then it goes the the most senior. If the days are in the RED then essentially I am being blocked and can't trade anything. I should have every chance just as the next person to pick up trips or trade. Every time I have a group of days in the RED, they go Green, but only after the trips I tried for are gone. I just don't think that is fair.
By the way when I was the plug, everything was RED any way so it made no difference of my seniority. I flew what was given to me and had no chance to make my schedule better. Glad that the "mostly RED Days" are gone for the new plug.

Now im ready for a Matias/Slotten fast track/ focused negotiations TA by the end of the week. No doubt I will put it right in the trash
I can see what you mean with the red/green issues, but how do we fix it?
Surely we wouldn't collectively rather a daily submission of pickups/drops/swaps that get processed every night, would we?
Personally, I love the instantaneous OT and wouldn't want to get rid of it. The only other idea I can think of is to split the IOT into two 24 hour periods; Initial Open Time, Secondary Initial Open Time and then the free-for-all DOT.

Yea? Well the senior pilots should not sell out those below them but that's how it works because life isn't fair and most people would kick you in the nuts if it saved them a buck.
That's how we ended up at 37.5/hr right?

Yep, and the rest of the pay scales up to year 7..., funny why they chose year 7.. Of course I'm referring to 2010 dollars and not the current industry avg..

Yup was thinking about that too. But hey, everyone 6 years and under were junior and anything that gives more to people senior is fair.

Let the people who want to be here for a career reap the benefits, not the job hoppers looking to get a type and bail for Fedelted.
I'm not negating the fact that we are underpaid at ALL years in both seats, though.
