If you are about to go over your duty day, by more than the 30 min extension, what has scheduling offered you or can you legally ask for as an incentive to keep going?

With that said, ask for whatever you want. Doesn't mean they'll give it to you. I got stuck in ORD last week for two days with that mess. Scheduling called me and said I was within 10 minutes of timing out so they pull me 6 hours before we were supposed to leave. I think they are being a little more proactive with the new rules.....or I just got lucky. So you might not get much. They may not risk it.
Anyone see the press release? ORD-SAN and ORD-PHL direct, daily starting next April.

No, but "Frontier Airlines is announcing multiple new routes Tuesday, detailing plans to begin service to both Miami and Philadelphia while also saying it would expand its schedule at Chicago O'Hare."

Great, basically us and Frontier will undercut each other until we both file BK and have to merge together................

Correct me if I am wrong, but Frontier isn't in the same place as Spirit by any means.
I mean to say, Frontier is growing to try to stay alive. Spirit is growing cause they are making money. Plus, starting a fare war with an airline that has the lowest CASM in the industry when you aren't making very much money may not be the best idea.
I just don't see Frontier being able to really pose much of a threat to the Spirit business model.
Then again, what the heck do I know.

The COMPANY has to let the FAA know anytime this happens. The PILOT does not....
And at my company, it's in our contract that if they ask, and we concur with such a legal extension, we get extra pay...
