Uhhhhhhh-ooooooooooooo
Delta Revives Bare-Bones Fares to Battle Cheap Rivals - Bloomberg
"For an Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale flight February 2 to February 5, 2015, Delta’s lowest Basic Economy fare offered today was $196.20, including taxes and fees, and Spirit’s was $156.18."
^ we appear cheaper but I'm assuming it comes out even-ish with our bag fees?

Well, not sure where they got those numbers.
20 October 2014, Spirit $163.29, Delta $232.10, unless you fly on the 0752 flight with a stop in CVG, then it's $1021.60!!
Even for the basic fares, Spirit is nearly $70 cheaper.
*prices run off of each airline's website at 1200 on 16 October 2014. Doesn't include baggage fees on Spirit.

We must be engaged in a war with Delta then. Just taking a look, Delta flight on 4 Feb is $117.10, bags look to be extra. On Spirit, 4 Feb, price is $34.10, baggage extra. Still quite a bit of difference, but I wonder how long this little "price war" can last?

Most likely we have nothing to worry about. However, if profit margins compress over the next two quarters during the fast growth phase, expect analysts to pressure management to dial back the speed of our growth. Wall Street only wants us to grow if our profit margin remains stable. And Wall Street has already been skeptical of our ability to grow at such a high rate and not diminish profit margins.
