Just because a couple are out in use doesn't mean the official test period has begun. I flew with a "tester" about a month ago and he thought the trial would begin on Dec. 1st. They'll come when the come. Probably a little late.

Joey, thanks for the private msg, I can't reply with iPhone, app keeps crashing, anyway I agree with union on that, NOTHING for free. We went thru the same with KCM. We can definitely wait.

On a side note it's going to be a huge kick in the balls when all of our brethren are talking about their huge profit sharing checks in a few months. It's not a reason to dwell on the past but should absolutely be a reminder come negotiations......

For those wondering about the Ipads. There were about 15-20 that were floating around with check airmen to try out the software. They were not authorized to used them in the plane. Last I heard was all the of the training dept will get them next week around the 8th and that's when the trial period will start. In another month or two as the bugs get worked out they will start to get them system wide. So the idea is you will only need to carry both for 4-5 months. Of course its Spirit so maybe the trial will start in January.

This isn't our last contract, we will improve upon what we have.
I know it is easy for someone like you to Monday morning quarterback, but until you are in the hotseat deciding your fellow pilots fate, it is a different story.

Did you work here in 2010? If you didn't you won't understand. Keep in mind that hot seat was willing to quit and walk away if we didn't vote yes. 500 shares in the last contract would be worth almost 50k. We won't ever get that back.
