Any Mac users know any good software to view the PowerPoint study materials stuff with? Tried a few free programs, no luck. Keynote, a Mac program may work but it is $20. Just curious before I buy it. I normally only use the macbook to browse the web and stuff.

Wall Street is hopeful our new CEO will slow growth down and possibly defer deliveries or accelerate the return of some leased aircraft. Without a new contract and Wall Street applying pressure, I'd encourage all potential new hires to do their due diligence. Nothing has changed as far as the job is concerned, but a 2011 hire versus a 2016 hire at Spirit may have significantly different career expectations.

That's the bulk of it. If Wall Street gets their way and the new CEO obliges them, advancement would be significantly slower for any new hire. And our quick upgrade has padded our lacking, by 2016 standards, payscale. I would never tell anyone not to accept employment at NK. I'd be a hypocrite because truthfully I do like the job - but I was a 2011 hire. Just come in with both eyes open and acknowledge the downside potential. We will get a better CBA, however, the timeline is certainly in question. FWIW.

I would not assume that the new CEO is going to slow down the growth. That's a pretty big assumption, and I don't buy it. Economies of scale are very important and Spirit can make more money with more planes. I really don't think he will defer any deliveries

I hope you're right. Cowen and Company analyst Helane Becker wrote yesterday that that is her expectation with Fornaro taking over at Spirit. Sadly what Wall Street wants and what is best for the company are sometimes mutually exclusive. Wall Street usually gets their way.

If the new CEO would just give a message about what he envisions in the coming years it would stop a lot of speculation and fear. For me I like the idea of a Merger with frontier, if and only if it is truely to compete with the big 4. I fear that the ULCC model is seen as a gimmick by shareholders and investors so they get their nice returns and not a true force in the airline industry.
