He's an interim chairman and his term is up in March I think. Let's see if he reruns. Shouldn't there have been an election by now. What's his term for status rep?

When are you leaving? Your constant whining and blaming gets old. I don't know you but you seem like you'd be miserable to fly with

Why? Because he wants JA gone?
I want JA gone too. He is naive and incompetent. This clown still thinks "quid" can be obtained in negotiations. Give me a fornicating break.

When you can tell me one person who was involuntarily effected by the "quid" then maybe I'll change my mind. But the fact is the the relief was voluntary, and anyone affected did so at their own choice. If Ackerman had not included the option to the pilots I would be with the dissenters. But the fact is everyone had the option to deny anything the violated the contract. They can't complain if they allowed a violation.

All you Internet chest pumpers need to man up and start going to Job fairs. If you say your going to leave, please give it your best effort.

First of all, there is no quid and there never will be. Quid pro quo means "give and take", which is normally how the world works. It wasn't even a take on the companies part, more like us voluntarily fixing an incompetent mess up that was weeks or months coming with multiple warnings. Do we get paid big money to make strategic decisions? No way, we do not and it is not our job to "save the company". Anyone who thought the company was going to "get shutdown" (forever) is blindingly naive and forfeits the right to lead any pilot group.

So how were any pilots negatively affected? Well for one, the incompetent management that allowed the meltdown to occur was never replaced, that was a big loss for all of us. Unless you like stupid emails every holiday and phone calls at 2am, then whatever.

Number two, many pilots flew stupid junior assignment turns trying to help and then were told later on that it counts against their five. Do the math on the opportunity cost of helping the company on those.

Third and probably a big third, think about the destruction of our pilot-mec unity and what that might cost us. Meeting face to face with the coo at a pool balcony with no direct witnesses did not install trust at a time when trust was the biggest thing needed.

Fourth, the company now thinks we are pushovers and will do anything to help them with no gain for us, we are totally screwed forever. So yes I feel slighted. I also do think people who ***** and moan should indeed apply elsewhere. They are probably the ones who leave the trash bags and unplug the headsets, so good riddance.

Cant agree more with this. Look, its not the fact that anyone had to do something they didn't want to do. It's the fact that we lost a lot of respect in managements eyes for doing this. And you know it's true from the offer they put to us.

If you worked a JA during this time simply call the crew scheduling manager and they will take the JA off your record. JA's during the relief should not have counted against your 5. That should have been communicated better to the pilot group.

The qualified people who missed out on CP and instructor jobs because those jobs went to tailkisssers who manned the phones in CS. Is the new FLL CP really the best candidate? or just for example, the one who showed his management bent during the meltdown?

What did you do during the meltdown?
