I'm curious if our first meeting with a new CEO in place will go well or if it will be the same old BS. I believe they are meeting this month.

So help me God if the update goes something like this "Progress was made but SIGNIFICANT gaps remain in pay, retirement, transition". I will lose my mind

Lol, im sure this isn't your first contract. Relax a little, live and let things fall in place. JA will just say that to have a bunch of our guys go absolutely insane on purpose.

No, this one will go "...the meeting was cordial... we look forward to working with... working together... we are optimistic..." and if they are feeling particularly tough that day they may throw in a "we made our position clear."

I heard the NC was going back to the line.. So don't hold your breath on a positive update from them. Sounds like the company isn't serious about sending anyone that can make decisions to the next negotiation session, if it even happens..

***? I can't imagine they go back to the line. That's absurd. What N/C goes back to the line during active negotiations. Lol. If that's true we are in horrendous shape

They are requalifying so that they can fly some trips. They aren't 'going back to the line' on a full time basis.

Is this your first run at a contract negotiation? Just wondering. This is very typical even during "active" negotiations.
