From: Just because the MEL says we can, doesn't mean we should
HIGH FIVE to the DFW FOs that didn't answer the phone last night for the phx redeye and to the FO that demanded so much from scheduling that the flight was canceled! -that's the rumor anyway!
Another HIGH FIVE to all those that denied extensions a few weekends ago with the weather in ord and dtw.
If we all showed this type of sack and fortitude we may be able to gain a little leverage here!

I said no to a trip (for today) out of ORD then decided to watch the trip to see who bit. They ended up splitting the trip and wouldn't you know..........the two names that are always "standing and available"!

It's been a pleasure to fly with you guys/gals. I resigned last week and got a call today from the membership committee. I was told Spirit lost more pilots in July than they hired. Folks are taking Jyri's advice to heart. As long as that continues, there's no reason why you can't have an industry leading contract. Best wishes.

Stock is up 5%, I think it'll adjust after the street and analysts digest the data.
Looks like EPS exceeded expectations, costs were down, total revenue missed, and PRASM is down from last year. The PRASM and Mr. Fornaro's warning about yields may affect the stock price going forward. If it wasn't for the decrease in costs, I think the stock would be in much trouble.
Update: looks like the street is starting to digest the TRASM (as Spirit reports it) decline. The stock is now up only 2%.

Why are you asking this stuff on a public forum? Do you seriously expect a public answer? If you want to know more information so badly why don't you email them yourself?

Yep, gotta love those guys. Seems to be prevalent in all bases. The few that brag about their 150 credit months, how they make more than guys at AA or United.. But are so effing short sighted to see that their gaming the system hurts the rest of the group. If only they'd stop for a few months, then maybe we can all be compensated properly, instead of bragging and working on days off to make what a United or AA guy makes.

I am not advocating RJs here, but if we got them, the Sukoi Superjet seems the only choice. Look at the cockpit. Looks as EXACTLY like an Airbus as possible. Wikipedia says Boeing was consulted. Clearly this is a lie. It was Airbus. Sidestick. ADIRS. Flap handle. "Retard, Retard." The list goes on.

The only bizarre thing is the RA random countdown.
Again, not advocating RJs here, but this is a pleasant distraction and IF we ever got them, this one looks like a quick transition.
Southwest is arguably the most successful domestic carrier.. And they fly one type. Here's to a fleet of 500 Airbuses.
