Our NC has told us numerous times what our ask is, industry standard. (Average). Every TA that is signed including SWA, the average goes up. So I'm sure our ask goes up as well

I'd say you're blind if you agree that the guys crediting over 150 plus hours monthly while bailing out the company is helping your "FELLOW PILOT!" GMAFB!

So funny how guys flip flop.. Years ago you were ripping guys that told others to "leave then". I hope you're not a non green lanyard wearing pilot because it says SPA PILOTS!
I am wearing my green lanyard and I am not telling you to leave. You are staying because there is a very good chance we can accomplish something here.
I'm just getting a little tired of hearing guys dividing us in groups. "Those damn senior guys", "Those damn junior guys", "the millennials", "the idiots that are still here or are applying here", even "the hispanic speaking pilots".
Let's have some self respect and don't throw your fellow pilot under the bus!!

That's too vague imo. They could be negotiating industry average for 15 yr CAs and DOS +4 for all we know. There is only one logical reason I can come up with to keep it a secret. I think it's time for the NC to share their position.

Exactly, what is wrong with some transparency? We are the only people that do not know what the ask is. Management knows it, and the NC knows it, so whats the point hiding it now?

I agree with what you're saying.. They are shooting for industry avg in our peer group(United, delta, AA, Alaska, JetBlue, and SWA). As we've seen, that avg has changed quite a bit and will change after delta gets a deal. If the NC sent out their ask months ago at what was industry avg to the pilot group, then the mediator would start there. Fortunately their last ask was above United's current rates. Now, their ask can adjust for others receiving new deals.

Everyone I talk to and fly with support our quest 100%!! But they might not agree with some of the ideas and retoric posted on this thread. So don't throw your fellow pilot under the bus.

I am here because for family reasons. If not for that I would be hitting every damn job fair I could.

Of course guys crushing the pay credits who have built their lifestyles around doing that would not agree.

It's only been a year since the contract expired, it'll be 5+ years before a new one. Don't get too worked up, just sit back and enjoy the growth.

The difference is the current hiring at the legacies. Swa is losing guys to the legacies at a pretty strong clip just like we are. Their management probably desires to get out ahead of it. Our arrogant pricks are literally going to try to beat the labor market and will finally give us a raise when the labor markets kicks their ass and we are in a bad spot

Secondly, I'm sure I'll get blasted on here for this.... I think every pilot should put his name on the SA list. Take your time on the phone to make sure you get every detail of the trip.....

It's about time we get pi$$ed off and stop being bullied!
you do realize the weakness and ineptness of ALPA and the mec don't you?
