I was at the end of March and haven’t heard anything.

They might be doing CPP calls separate from off the street calls. Might have a certain amount of CPP candidates going per class so maybe November might not be full yet?
FWIW I didnt get an exact date in December. Was just told before the holidays

I interviewed March 15 and the CJO came in 7 days later. From what I'm getting here, the flows are skipping the logical order from CJO and they are getting earlier classes then us OTS hires?

CPP is not a flow, we interview just like y’all. Only thing the CPP Guarantees is we get a hogan. After that, it’s on you to pass and pass the interview. Not a flow

But the way it works is, companies with a CPP makeup whatever agreed upon % of total newhires in each class.

ExpressJet is 25% or one out of every 4 pilots hired at united comes from ExpressJet. I think commutair is 10%.

So if they hire 100 pilots total, 25 will come from the separate CPP pools and they will be taken in that order.

So there’s no jumping ahead, separate pools is all. I hope everyone gets a call soon. I’m praying I get one!

As mentioned;

It’s NOT A FLOW

XJT makes up 25% of the slots available, plus whatever Commutair will get and AWAC whenever they determine that.

Some, if not many of those CPP pilots interviewed coming up on 18 months ago, THEN go in seniority order amongst the CPP pool from their carrier. If the train keeps rolling, those that go next summer will have interviewed 2 years prior to class.

So no one is cutting the line.

So in regards to CPP vs. OTS, there’s not really a “logical order”.

But you really don't interview just like all of us that got hired off the street. You have a watered down version of the interview process that doesn't even have your performance reviewed by the full on hiring review board. And as far as only being guaranteed the Hogan goes, do you have any idea how many off the street guys are dying to get a Hogan in their email? Try not to treat it like it's not big deal because to thousands of guys busting their tails to get here that weren't lucky enough to get a handout from a CPP, it is a big deal.

So there’s no jumping ahead, separate pools is all. I hope everyone gets a call soon. I’m praying I get one!

If I were an off the street hire that interviewed a month before a CPP guy that is now going to be senior to me the rest of my career, I would feel like a line has indeed been jumped.
Sorry for the rant, just wanted to offer a bit of different perspective to consider when talking about how difficult or similar you might view the CPP to an off the street hires view of the process of getting on at United.

Off the street hire here. You may want to reconsider your view. My class had 20 year guys from XJET who busted their tail for years in the regional world. All were very qualified and great people. Some had been in charge of training departments etc. No need to disparage your fellow new hires.

As said beforehand, CPP folks get interviewed months (in reality years) beforehand and have their performance records for their partner carrier scrutinized both before and after (late check ins, # of days ever they called in sick etc.)

The point is they jump through their own hoops to get to class. If you’re so worried about their process, go join one of them. Realistically each OTS applicant knows what pathways are available to get hired on a company at any given time. If you chose not to join one of those preferential pathways then you shouldn’t worry about those processes.
