Probably yeah. Also, I would take the 737 fleet if you plan on lax. Its the best most diverse flying in lax.. I'm assuming Vegas doesn't change that too drastically

Expect about 70 to 80 percent. I am 39, I was 48 percent in my class. This weeks class 8-ball was 27.

That's changed a little... The last 200 or so new hires have averaged 34 years with a median of 31 years. On that trend, 31 would be right at the middle or just slightly below. There's typically a 50+ year in the classes lately that tends to increase the mean>median. Its getting pretty young.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying. It’s difficult to project as well. One class can be a younger class and the next can be a old class and another a normal mix.

My advice, plan for 70 to 80 percent be surprised if one’s seniority is higher because the age of the class is younger.

Buddy of mine a few months ahead of me gave me the Google spreadsheet his Indoc class used before showing up on day one to list out their ages and Base/Equipment preferences. Once you get a class date it's something you can consider, just so everyone has a realistic sense of where they're at percentile-wise and to help cage expectations and personal/family priorities.

Whats the current numbers for a new hire today seniority wise? Got hired at DAL last year and trying to figure out if it would still be worth it to jump over for potential wide body flying as a captain. Figured lots of hiring has been done each month but still in early 30s. I know a lot can change over a 30 year career and its anyone guess. That said, would it be any significance for a new hire today or minimum difference? Thanks!

I think they are in the 15k’s on seniority numbers right now. They want to be at 20k. That’s a 5k bump in a couple of years. Retirement numbers pick up in a year, a lot of folks took early retirement during covid.

If the SK plan works out, there will be a decent amount of wide body flying-heck, new hires are getting wide bodies.

Despite the complaining, whinging, and arguing on here, it’s a great company and a fantastic group of people to work with.

Good luck in whatever you decide.

Good luck
