You completely misunderstood the entire point of my question. I am on the younger side, so if SFO slots were going junior then I’d be concerned about being stuck there and unable to get out due to the seat lock. Thanks for the help though…

If you get stuck with SFO on a WB or 756, you could be stuck there for 2 years or never even go. Not likely to be stuck there, though.

I did completely misunderstand, and apologize for oversnarking about it. My bad, sorry.

As ThumbsUo alluded, if you are indeed forced into an SFO 756, you are likely to be able to either base trade or get a vacancy while in training to EWR or DCA to at least improve the commute. Good luck, and if you choose to stay here, then welcome! If you go to AA, you may still burn your laptop though.

Haha no worries, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it!

The junior EWR 756 FO has a seniority number of 16582…The 8-ball is 16641. You should be able to get to EWR pretty quickly. The bigger concern is being on reserve for a long time. You’d likely be a line holder in EWR quicker on the guppy or Airbus.

Does living in base at UA provide many opportunities for additional earning? I've always been under the impression that it's a major consideration for living in base; aside from the significant increase in QOL. However, going through various threads, I'm having a hard time determining if there are many opportunities to pickup extra flying.

Really varies by fleet and seniority

But generally yes.

How long is it on average taking people to hear back after submitting an application? Thanks!
