I’m one of many who had a choice and picked UAL over SWA and Delta. The newhires today at SWA won’t see Captain for at least 10-12 years. Denver even later.
Whereas UA has a lot of folks who live in Denver and make easy commutes to SFO and LAX. But I will say if you are going to SWA, living in base is the ONLY way. UA has better work rules for commuters (PS for DH deviations, Long call reserve etc) but the guys who crush it at swa mostly live in domicile or never see their families.

False. Denver is actually one of the most junior Captain bases at SWA.

Behind Chicago and Oakland...and that’s today and only because you’ve been growing it the last few years.

True. All speculation of course, but I've consistently heard that Denver is projected to be our largest base in the future. Time will tell.

It's shocking that more guys aren't tripping over themselves to help you.
