So you're paying for it? How? if you give up some guarantee are you gonna be expected to work on those days? No... you'll have those days off. So United is paying for it. You're giving up some right to go make that money, sure, so that it can be spent elsewhere. In the case of a cancelled displacement, it may even be neutral or in your favor. Working less isn't the worst thing in the world. You can do some retirement type things.. now. While you're young and healthy.

My contract says my MPG is 73 hours. Any reduction in MPG is exactly how I/you/we are paying for it. Can you not see that? Don’t lecture me about days off, my contract is for 73 hours!!!

Amazing isn't it? Our current contract already has mechanisms built into it for anyone that wants more days off without mandating it for everyone.

"YGTBFKM!!! Are you really as naive as you sound? .......
This is why we can't have nice things.

As someone in this boat (2000 UAL hire, twice furloughed, upgraded to guppy CA in Mar of 2019)....I am one of these supposed "carve out" people that could be sitting A320 FO, above the G line...etc...etc.... And I, as someone who understands our history and a 1985 strike over a B scale (look it up if you don't know what that is)...am voting a RESOUNDING NO on this (if the details are as rumored)...WHY would I vote NO when it could mean I'd get NB CA pay for flying NB FO???
Because this POS divides the pilot group! Not just a B scale, but a C scale too no less! How our MEC could even consider putting this to the group for MR is beyond me. I have emailed my LEC reps to tell them of my opinion on this BEFORE they vote to send this for MR. Have you?
