I would also add that, under normal circumstances the pilots pay for one third of LTD - congrats on "winning" the opportunity to fund the company's portion as well. Trading EVERYBODY'S MPG value for a few people to improve their LTD is problematic. Especially when it's self-serving.
I dont really care if it is self serving. It’s a permanent get, one that was in the top 5 of this pilot group. Next contract it doesn’t have to be a high item and we can get something else. If it was only for the duration of this TA then I think you may have something.

the TA will expire in 2 years or less and 11,000 LTD will continue into the future, to not consider that a win is rediculous, it’s a win now it’s a win in the future and it’s a win for the next contract.

there are som things wrong with this TA but 11,000 LTD isn’t one of them.

Were you willing to give a bunch of money for it in the last TA? I only ask because we're paying an awful lot for it now.

no idea I don’t know how much it was worth. Do you? Something like this could cost us millions out of the pie while negotiating a TA.

Scott, the source was a post on the new forum.

At this point, what does it matter? Guys were getting banned because their view ran counter to the sales pitch from Team Insler. If there isn't open discussion, it's not a forum.

I realize that you agree with the folks on the new forum....but do you think they are very “open” to viewpoints that contradict their own?
All I see is personal attacks, guys posting videos of themselves shooting guns like they’re tough or something, and LOOOOOOOOOONG posts that mostly serve to validate one’s own overly high opinion of oneself.
From my perspective, there’s no objective place to actually talk about this stuff.

My point is simply that one forum has banned members for (supposedly) posting things in opposition to the AIP. And the rumor is that ALPA was involved in it. I personally think that's crap. The new one states the following...

The ability to speak freely without censorship, intimidation, or coercion is a fundamental and necessary ingredient for a strong and healthy union.

I'm glad they are gone from the other forum. Now someone with an opposing view can feel free to post something without being called name or the dreaded ALL CAPS rampage.
