I dont really care if it is self serving. It’s a permanent get, one that was in the top 5 of this pilot group. Next contract it doesn’t have to be a high item and we can get something else. If it was only for the duration of this TA then I think you may have something.
the TA will expire in 2 years or less and 11,000 LTD will continue into the future, to not consider that a win is rediculous, it’s a win now it’s a win in the future and it’s a win for the next contract.
there are som things wrong with this TA but 11,000 LTD isn’t one of them.

It may be a permanent get, but It's lower on the priority list right now. Like maybe 6 or 7. If it walks like a duck and it quacks ...its not a cow, it's a duck.

sorry I should have quoted this one and made the comment here for both you and Pipe. It’s hardly self serving Pipe thinks he found a game changer and all he found was a pilot who because of COVID has his medical extended.

So, ask yourself this-
If YOU didn't renew you medical by the end of November, 2019.. what would happen to you (or any other pilot)
Well.. doesn't your December trips start getting dropped without pay?
Or do you start to call in sick at the end of November?
At what point does the company reach out to you (or any other pilot) who now shows SICK for a few trips..
Is it after a few weeks? A month?
When? But it does happen.
How does a pilot bid for the January 2020 bid month if they have not sent in a copy of their current medical?
So.. lets say a pilot calls in sick for Dec, Jan and Feb. Does he automatically go on LTD?
It is my understanding that a pilot goes on LTD after-
90 Days
Sick Leave down to 120 hrs
Whenever, after 90 days.. that the pilot wants to stop burning their Sick Time.
So the questions that beg to be answered are-
Why does he NOT have a medical
How was he getting paid from Dec to now
WHO was paying him?
-The company?
-His own sick bank?
-The Union (ie Membership)
Has he complied with the UAL ALPA MEC Policy Manual?
For the record, emails sent out last week and today. Still awaiting reply.
This is a question of Integrity.
Just because someone was a great Grievance Chair doesn't mean they automatically become a great MEC Chair. This TA Proves it!

He did not show up as LTD on the CCS Staffing.

The Medical extensions were in place this year sometime around Mar/Apr to Jun (if I am correct)
Someone who had a Medical that expired in Nov 2019 would not have fallen into the CoVid19 waiver.
