[QUOTE=Rostov;3223381 From flat earther anti vax stupidity to some serious professional intellectuals. SK clearly is at the top of his game, I doubt the same is true for you.[/QUOTE]
If you want to talk about vaccinations, there's another thread for that.
Truth be told. The vaccination may not be effective.
Many females still of breeding age and of the mind to have kids ARE NOT happy about the vaccination situation. My sister who is a Doctor is a hell no. She is looking to get pregnant soon, and she won't take it. My mother who is a retired nurse, former head of ICU, MICU, NICU, and the ER is not big on it right now. She is going to wait 3 years until more data is available. If you talk to the Veterinarian community, who are some really good epidemiologist types they are 50/50 on it. So, careful there big fella. When and where did you go to Medical School? I wouldn't be quoting Dr. Fauci. The bloodclots killing folks with the Johnson/Johnson vaccine is a cause for concern. Those people didn't need to die. Likely they would have survived C19 if they had gotten it. Should elderly, or at risk people take it? I think so. But, I ain't no doctor. I am only 50 years old. So, not taking it. Plus, I already had the virus.
SK may or not be on top of his game. But, he's not a doctor and most certainly not an epidemiologist. Does he have to manage risk for his employees, staff, and the passengers? Yes. Different subject. Does the airlines business depend on customer confidence? yes. that does hinge on masks, cleanliness, and vaccine effectiveness. But, all of those issues are beyond his immediate control. Meaning, he can't clean the airplanes or hand out masks. But, his policies in those areas do have an effect.

females thinking of a family or (mating), or breeding, or whatever you want to call it are concerned about vaccinations in general. Not just this one.

I know my wife does. But, yeah. I did grow up on a farm. Sorry if you were hurt by the word breeding. And no. I don't believe in quotas. regardless of what word you want to use. No way on quotas.

But, no Gordon DID NOT select Smizek.
Smizek was on loan from Vincent and Elkins law firm in Houston. His firm was hired to do the Delta/CAL merger. Small sack was just an attorney that specialized in corporate transactions (mergers). He did both combing companies and breaking them up.
CAL decided to hire him directly rather than pay V/E their big prices.
Smizek ascended due to the power vacuum.
If you read Gordon's book. Somewhere on page 103 or so. I think he digs into Smizek pretty well and says some interesting info on his opinions of him. Not very glowing reviewes.
Smizek worked the BOD behind Mr. Kellner's back and turned the board against Kellner. Imagine that..right. The Board wanted to merge. Kellner did not. The BOD picked Smizek. No Gordo recommendation. He was long gone, about 3 years I think. Smizek simply worked a coup with the BOD. That's how I recall it.

Is there a better word describe it? Having sex and having kids?

I see in the news almost daily that as schools and corporations go out of their way to cater to diversity, inclusion and equity (die) that as those policies become implemented people start rebelling against those institutions. Capitalism at its core is all about competition. You can't run a company grounded in capitalism unless that company fosters an enviornment of competition.
Scholastic achievement is also rooted in the principle of competition. So is sports. In every endeavor worthy of preparation and participation that has the essence of competition at its core, those institutions and their leaders get noticed. The cream rises to the top.
Gordon Gecko said "greed was good." Not sure, but the competition that takes place in board rooms, the class rooms, and on the field of battle is what makes life worthy of the splendid pursuit.
Once we kill the reasons to compete, we kill competition. Once we kill the spirit of competition, we kill capitalism. Once we kill that, we kill the engine that runs our company......
Look at business today. No one wants to go to work. Too much free money from D.C. No sense in working if it's all handed to you. Have some personal pride, and compete. Go out and earn it.

You forgot to mention the white male Captain who decided to continue on to Los Angeles from San Francisco after his landing gear failed to retract. Also don't forget the white male crew who landed in Los Angeles with 1500 lbs of fuel after taking a direct straight into a hefty headwind and ignored dispatch three times telling them they needed to land.
