Im flying all kinds of trips on the A-320 out of Denver. Many are complaining of the same, if you’ve got a EWR/LGA in your trip you can almost count on a CF from the crew desk. It doesn’t really matter if I am getting reassigned and you aren’t, it’s happening more often and the crew desk is starting to make it a habit. If they’re going to be using reassignments as quick fix they need to be paying us handsomely for it. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want that?
Because it doesn't affect him and he thinks you are stealing a portion of his negotiating pie that is ALL HIS, HIS, HIS! If you didn't want to be abused you shouldn't have bid NB captain.

Or something like that.(sarc)

BTW, if it rarely happens the "cost" to fix it would be minimal for the company and thus minor negotiating capital expenditure by the NC and fairly easy to get buy in from both sides.

I didn’t say that I wouldn’t like our reassignment rules to be better. I said that the “everyone is constantly reassigned” is an exaggeration. I’m on the bus (EWR) as well. I bid high credit day-only flying that finishes early in the afternoon as do the people I fly with. Other than the occasional weather event that causes delays or having to wait for a gate because we’re running ahead, seems to run pretty close to schedule.

How a contract affects the individual should be the way everyone considers it—it’s the only way to determine the real problems. If everyone’s input is based on a perceived problem, you’ll never know what the real ones are.

True. Whether or not it's a problem is academic when the NC ask should be "Delta Standard" WRT reassignments.

spoiler alert… I’m a dude
I’ve been re-assigned twice on wide body international trips since 2018; one triggered and one untriggered. (The latter was very lucrative.)

Last one was in 2021. $5 million was refunded to the pilot group. It has happened periodically since I've been here.

I totally forgot about 2021. My bad. Everything during all the COVID crap was kind of a blur.

other than that then, in my experience only…

It’s amazing how much time you spend on these forums trying to save face for United’s sub par work rules. The minute I see your name I already know it’s just another post defending the company. Even on subject’s that have nothing to do with negotiations you subconsciously defend management.

Thankfully we don’t have many pip squeaks like you at DAL. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of the airline you work for. You’re not that guy, you’re just a kool-aid drinking management shill.

What does that even mean? Do you have me confused with someone else trying to get on with UAL? United was never my top choice. I was always gunning for Delta or American. I’m only here to get updates on any progress with your negotiations. I’m hopeful your pilot group sets a new bar for pattern bargaining purposes but it’s looking doubtful.

It’s entertaining, you play yourself off as just bringing a positive outlook to the United threads, but you’re actually a rhapsody blue kool-aid drinking management shill. That’s why you get nasty real quick when someone starts posting anything negative about United.
