Regarding Brooks just do your best guess on sizes and go larger if undecided. Once delivered go to a good tailor and have it altered as needed. Turn in expense to United for reimbursement.

I’d wager is we won’t switch uniforms until late spring/early summer.

customer service is large part of the airline industry, but as a workgroup we spend very little time with the customer......I'd say a customer experiences 75% inflight, 20% gate agent......less than 5% pilots just slightly above ramp.....

That being said there is a segment of our clientele (mostly in Europe and Asia) that notices how "professional" crews look when walking through the airport. It seems to me however that "professional" is a code word for attractiveness of the mostly female FA's.

All this notwithstanding, if you go to a Uniform fitting....DON'T stand up and walk around like the people will encourage you to do ......rather, SIT DOWN. Then do things like reach forward, raise your arms, and try to mimic getting in and out of a 737 seat.....because that's what you will be doing most of the time in the uniform.
To bad I couldn't come up with a way to simulate doing a run through IAH or ORD to catch a deadhead/commute..........I mean when my midsection becomes all moist...am I going to have pick my front wedgie in middle seat in economy plus.......these are the things that I want in a uniform......if I look "professional" great but if not oh well.....I got you to where it says in the ticket.

I'm hoping that this thing turns into an excrement festival. When everyone gets the wrong sized hat since we just order without a fitting and returns them, hopefully the company will give up that fight and make them optional. Yes, I understand that many people opt out of the requirement now since there is zero enforcement, but being optional by the book would be nice. Not holding my breath though.

.
The hat culture died at United many years ago when the MEC turned off the “hat switch” as a show of solidarity against Glenn Tilton. They reap what they sow.

They didn't have hats at the fitting I went to, so I wouldn't be surprised if mass hat returns become a thing.

I sure hope not...but there are probably a few (probably in the older crowd if I'm guessing)......doesn't mean they are right......its just thats what they think.

Look it ...if I had my way they'd be optional....my views on hats are kind of like the hijab for islamic law adherent women..........don't let me STOP you from wearing it if thats your thing........ but Please do not FORCE ME to wear it!

p.s. I was able to schedule a uniform appointment on a work day, but to be honest it was a waste of time, if I had of just ordered the same sizes it would have been fine.
I just threw up in my mouth a little.
