Why do I suspect you are on my jumpseat defense list from the great jumpseat war of 2019?
You do a great job of confirming the myth about SkyWest pilots.

The audit with No findings? At least we haven’t had one of our pilots try to crash a plane into our HQ. Also wasn’t it an ex SkyWest pilot that is now in jail for stalking and posting porn of his ex girlfriend? Maybe instead of the FAA you guys need a team psychiatrists to baby sit you.

I was at SkyWest myself, and I can definitely say the vast majority of guy were awesome guys to fly with, but the closer you got to St.George/SLC, the crazier the people got.

But hey, if working harder for less money is what suits you, have fun. You won't convince anyone around here that it makes sense, though.

Plus, it's completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. And that is, should regional airlines do more, less, or no flying under the United logo? You won't find very many United pilots who would answer "more." Especially those who spent a decade or more at the regionals, but were motivated and competent enough to move up to mainline. I realize that in the past, some senior United pilots gladly voted for scope concessions in return for higher pay at mainline, but those people are mostly retiring. A new set of pilots is taking those seats, and these pilots have learned from the mistakes of the past.
If it was up to me, we'd bring all regional flying in-house.. We'd retire the Deuce, and offer customers a premium experience via the -550 and the 175. We'd offer preferential interviews to all current regional pilots flying for UAX carriers (as opposed to the no-interview flow through that GoJet and Republic pilots currently get, not to mention the metering of Skywest pilots that most definitely is a reality). Of course, the pay rates for those aircraft at mainline would be commensurate with their size. The current UAX regionals would shrink dramatically, and mainline would grow accordingly.
It's not up to me, of course, so this is highly unlikely to happen. But if you're in this forum to either boast about your financial security, or try to convince mainline pilots that the Mormon Air Force should do more flying under United colors...I don't think you'll find your time to be very well spent.

You are still new at United and flying with junior pilots on the 737. Many who weren’t around in the late 90’s when the changes were made. This version of events in your description is very wrong on what the “senior” did in regards to scope. We fixed the problem but it took a long time.

Clearly logic isn't your strong suit. If you are as independently wealthy as you claim, flying CRJs to BFE for regional pay doesn't jive with that.

The fact that you feel the need to jump on an anonymous web forum and boast about your financial security...tells all of us that you are, in fact, very insecure. The people who actually have achieved security don't have a need to publicly congratulate themselves on their success.
