Yes this definitely does occur. May I ask, would you support reverting back to a “bid what you want and want what you bid” without snapshots just results type system. It seems the whole idea of snapshots is because the trend now is to bid what we think we can hold or how senior we might be ( if only there was a % tool)…….this I’m not so certain is a trait that is exclusive to “older” or “senior” pilots.

I mean yeah but it’s 2.5 years for guys hired 2.5 years ago. Its not bad but is and will continue to trend higher IMO

and for my EWR 756 people, how rough is 89% going to be? Like working every weekend on a redeye to LHR type rough? 🤣

Look at the people around 85-95% and their bids or schedules. I'd bet a dollar that it's all LHR.

Yeah its pretty bad….. I mean it’s a huge bid and the airline is growing but hey, those Heathrow redeyes. 3 year upgrades being looked down upon like its an eternity - when 10 years was not uncommon not that long ago.

This career doesn't owe you ******.

Read that a couple times….

If you had any awareness, you’d know the guy you quoted - probably more then most - understands this fully🙄

Oof - maybe leave for 777/78, but I don’t think I’d leave NB for 89% on the 756.

Yeah, I'm aware, thanks 😁. I didn't mean to come off as a whiny little B--. I was just stating it is trending more senior.

Junior on the 756 is a great way to make less money and have worse QoL. Stay where you're at.

I'll take that bet. EWR has a lot of domestic 752 trash. Prob can't even hold LHR at 90%, you're doing unaugmented SFO redeyes.

Unless of course we wont come anywhere close to that 2000+ figure.

Yeah but some will endure all that for the gram, as it looks better on walk arounds and overnights more “story worthy” than anything the NB can offer.

While it shouldn’t be, I’m most confident this is a consideration with some people.

I’m not trying to dump on all these people, just a few but most especially NOT Chimpy. While I do not consume his content I have the utmost admiration for his narrative, mostly since we are the same generation and have endured similar struggles in our career.
