Once on property you can do a base trade, assuming there is someone wanting to trade with you. The odds are very low that our senior Den guys want to trade after they have been wanting Den for a decade plus. Den, ORD and LAX will grow for sure. Make me want to rethink not living back on the west coast.

App is in. Waiting for a call as an off-the-street new-hire. That being said, I have a few questions:
1) Will there tend to be more short or long call reserve lines? I notice under the current rules that there is a pay difference between the two. Will that stay or go away?
2) Commuter clause?
3) As a reserve pilot, are there ways to earn hours/credits on top of the guarantee?
I know current work rules are subject to change but answers to the way things are done now and or your best guesses to the way these topics may be handled under any new contract are appreciated.

Since the topic of LORs was mentioned, just how many LORs does someone typically have on file? I'm not talking about internals, but non-internal recs. Thanks.

The retired pilot interviewer trashed me up one side and down the other and then they asked me to leave by the back door.

Sometimes. I got an interview at the dream major and went in with 5 mint LORs--each from checkairmen in my previous flying, all who had flown checkrides with me and wrote glowing comments, all who were now currently at the airline I was interviewing at.
