The country is this wide------------------------------> the bus easily crosses it without bumping anyone or their bags 99 times out of 100.

The seats are filled, so are the pits....with plenty of gas to spare. I will agree with you that a longer, narrower plane has a greater number of more uncomfortable and cramped seats in it and can therefore generate more revenue. But that's not what this tangent was all about.

FULL is relative. If the plane has 20 seats on it and they are all occupied, it's considered full as well. You got me............where was this tangent going?

I don't think Smisek gives a ****** how comfortable anyone is, there's no spreadsheet for that either. The pizza, the plate, and the table it was on left the building with Brenneman, this place will be mired in mediocrity until Smisek and his band of spreadsheet kids are gone. He is in so far over his head it's comical, until they stop pooh poohing the importance of operational integrity nothing will change. His ego will never let him run this place like a real airline.

Except for PS. Still got lots of toppings on THAT pizza. Who knew 110 seat, 3 class 757s could kill it in the SFO/LAX - LGA market? So much so that AA is planning the same service on a 3 class A321.

With the apparent policy of upgrading anyone who flies more than twice a year, how much revenue is the PS really generating? Does anyone actually pay for it anymore?

Well. IDK specifics on revenue. But I do know those comp. upgrades are 1 class. IOW, econ to business or business to first. Got to buy at least a business to get a fc upgrade. I also know that the only sUAL 757s we are keeping are the PS config. So they must be happy with the results. We will never beat VA or Jblue on costs. So we have to continue to beat them on revenue.

A 321 would need the optional "water ski kit" to take off from La Garbage and fly to LAX.
