Jump ball?

Don't worry! Wait till you hear the pierce closing argument/speech/campaign. It'll give you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Pierce is at the level of politics. Fortunately the merger committees members on both sides are the best and brightest we've got because the SLI is for life.

I agree with what you say, but how did smart guys like yourself allow pierce get to the level he is within the MEC. He'd walk over the backs of every cal and UAL pilot out there to get ahead personally.

I saw him at the DEN roadshow for contract. While working the room he gets in a pi$$ing contest with a UAL guy. He later said he felt threatened and asked for security to remove the UAL guy. "His way of winning". Is this the way he got to power at cal? The UAL side will not tolerate people like pierce.

Maybe after SLI is over we can figure a way to kick him to the curb. I think jeff has found him not as useful as in the past and he'll have few places to go within management.

Some of you guys crack me up.

You act like everything united did or does is the best and most amazing thing in the world.

Don't forget, that you stole most your international routes from Pan Am, you were mostly a domestic airline until then.

You write posts with CAL in lowercase and ual in caps. Pierce is lower case while heppner is in caps.

You guys are pilots. You fly planes. You have your misfits & scabs, we do too. To strut around with this holier-than-thou attitude is unbelievable to me.

I think this merger and forthcoming ISL "should" bring everyone back to reality.

Now let's get a CEO in here than wants to run an airline and quit lobbing stones over the fence.

Having access to both forums, I find it interesting that each pilot group generally expresses satisfaction with their respective MECs openers.

I suppose this is a good thing since when one group draws the short straw, they'll be satisfied that " they gave it their best shot".

What's also interesting is the primary focus in both cases are the UAL furloughees.

If I were an arbitrator for a day, hands down UAL presents a more well-rounded case utilizing all considerations outlined in the TPA and ALPA merger policy.

But that's just me.

Tell me big shot. What are you going to do to Pierce when you see him next?
Now, this is a simple question. You tend to go off on a rant about how insignificant CAL is. For you next post, please answer only:

What are you going to do to Pierce when you see him?

On PAC Day you had over 500 hundred PanAm pilots happy to be at United. Call it what you will but the facts don't bear you out.

Hey, do you live in Barberton?

Their argument on FO longevity and furlough inclusion is very rigorous I think. Their argument on status/category is weak--they have more big planes and flying big planes is mystical and heavy pilots are taller and have chiseled jaws. CAL's argument is strong on career expectations based on relative health of the companies.
