Ask the UAL MEC and their opinion is that's exactly what the arbs did.

6k per day? Gee, I wonder why the process lasted until the last day.

They can't screw with seniority. They cannot. This will be handled, quickly.

I agree with this. Lawsuits will prevail in all manipulations of the seniority list. One thing we didn't count on was the Jay/Jeff relationship and their continued attack of the United pilot group. Eventually it will lead to the weaker ones letting their true scab tendencies show through.

Somebody get out the checkbook again and write out a check for $6,000. If we are going to argue about the true meaning of "in the process of completing training" and displacements there is a simple fix.

From the ISL:

9. In accordance with ALPA Merger Policy, this Arbitration Board shallretain jurisdiction to resolve any unresolved disputes between the Continental and United Merger Committees as to the correct placement of a pilot on the ISL in accordance with the Board’s Award, and/or the interpretation or application of these conditions and restrictions.

I think they are doing that right now, hence the bid closing OCT 5th and I guarantee the award won't be out until all the SLI stuff is settled (by the arbs anyway).

Skyflyin,

I take it you are S-CAL? I sure hope ya'll get tired of street fighting us over every issue and turn your attention to elsewhere. I could think of a few other targets of opportunity. I do admire the way you have given us the Three Stooges eye poke, nose slap, and kick to the butt. Maybe even a vase over the head. You guy's have played a mean hand and other than the ISL arbitration ya'll are killers.

I'm off to put a raw T-bone over my eye.

Respectfully,

Birddog

Birddog, you give them to much credit. They lost the SLI and all they can do is obstruct anything to do with that not change it. JP has effectively been neutralized and after the MEC's are combined he'll not have the money to continue these games. I don't see the CAL guys having the backbone or will to fund JP's revenge. I think they've had enough and want to move on. One thing to note is they are likely to be first group to line up for a repeat of 1983 as witnessed post SLI talk and actions.

I know a lot of the UAL guys think that we have been beating you up, that's not really the case, but I'm not going to convince you otherwise. In my point of view, you guys will now be beating us up by displacements and delayed upgrades for years to come all because, IMO, our merger committee was out of touch with the reality of the merger and it has cost us dearly. I know, I know you think we have been "stealing" your upgrades for the last 3 years, but we not going to convince each other about that either.

Hopefully the growth and retirements will continue and mitigate our displacements and delayed upgrades somewhat and the rising tide will lift all ships. All I can do now is to hope and pray. As I said before, in the end we are all the same and I'll think we will see that as we start flying together soon.

Lost the SLI? Tell that to the UAL 1998 hire that just went junior to a CAL 2005 hire.
