Can anyone confirm? Colleague of mine tried to schedule sim prep in Denver for a September date and was told that after August 28th, UAL wasn't doing the sim portion of the interview. It will be switched to a CRM type exercise. Inputs?

I did my interview August 20th, and they said starting in October. Not sure how accurate that is. He did say people will be freaking out until they figure out how the 2 hour CRM exercise will go.

I have a friend in the cue for an interview in early to mid September and he was told that there would not be a sim evaluation.

Don't freak out. There are a lot of places doing the situation based interview already. FedEx and Delta both interview that way. I used ECIC and they did a great job of preparing me for my FedEx SBI.

August 28th was officially the last day for the simulator evaluation during the interview. Starting tomorrow applicants will have the technical portion of the interview conducted in the briefing room with a cardboard mockup of a 737 cockpit. The applicant study guide still applies for the time being. That portion of the interview will last approximately 2 hours. That's all the information I have right now.

Is it the briefing with the drain? For easy cleanup after the waterboarding?

Sheesh.
I'd rather go fly a simulator.
