Got the initial invitation email on Thursday. Took the Hogan the next day and got a call for the interview later that day. (Guess they had an extra slot they were trying to fill.) 7500 total, 4000 TPIC. 4 year aviation degree w/ honors, bilingual, regular volunteer work. 6 internal recs & a CP M&G from last year. Not sure what the magic ingredient was. Now to prepare for the interview...

Interesting. I have Chief Pilot on my resume and that's what my last OPR says as my job title, but I was not the Ops Officer or Sq/CC. I'd also argue that if you are the squadron FSO, you are Chief of Safety for that squadron...not as impressive as Wing Chief of Safety, but still legit on a lower level. Hopefully the board would investigate via a call to your squadron supervision back home if the question arises.
Do you think the interviewers do not see it that way also? Even if it is ones job title at a current company? I would say, if it's ones official title at the company they work for, they could rightfully and accurately list Chief Pilot on a resume. I could be totally wrong though. Anyhow, back on topic! I am sure it was a very rare (and an obvious embellishment in that case) occurrence that the interview Captain was referring to. If one is honest, it shows though, if they are not, I am sure it also shows.

I used Director of Operations and Director of Safety on my app. I was the OPSO of a squadron and the Director of Safety and Stan (Both in Marine units) both were in my fitreps as job titles. No questions were asked about either. No logbook questions either, just turned in my Naval logbooks and a summary sheet I made using excel.

Does anyone know if they are still doing CPO meet and greets? Specifically ORD.
I was walked into the CPO last spring by a UA pilot. Chief wasn't there but we talked to the guy who schedules the meet and greets. At the time they weren't doing many but had plans to pick up during the summer. I'm supposedly on the list to come in but haven't heard a thing.

Thanks, guys. I did my CP M&G about a year ago. At the time I had the impression that the phone was going to ring any day. Once I realized that I really didn't understand the process at all, I lurked for a while then started this thread. I learned a lot from all who were willing to share, and hope it's been helpful for many of you, as well. My interview was scheduled about two weeks out, but I got the impression that I was among the last to be called for that block of interviews. Had I finished the Hogan later, I might have waited a bit longer for a call, and then been among the first scheduled for the next group, possibly giving me more time between the invitation and the interview date. Just my impression, though- could be wrong on that one.
As for interview prep, I know of Cage, Emerald, FTI. Are they all pretty good, or if the consensus that one stands out above the rest?

I m using FTI for sim prep and have been working with DeeDee at Cage. she used to be an HR interviewer for United and she has been very helpful.

Congrats hummingbear, glad to see the wheels turning a little quicker now with the hiring process.
Light Gray - I got the call on a Monday offering me a slot the following Tuesday for the interview, however I couldn't do it. I was able to push it out a few weeks to accommodate my schedule, and its made scheduling stuff at Cage and FTI a lot easier.
Good luck to all
