Congrats hummingbear, glad to see the wheels turning a little quicker now with the hiring process.

Light Gray - I got the call on a Monday offering me a slot the following Tuesday for the interview, however I couldn't do it. I was able to push it out a few weeks to accommodate my schedule, and its made scheduling stuff at Cage and FTI a lot easier.

Good luck to all

Wow. Dee Dee. She was the Terminator back in the 90's! Seriously, she was feared by all. She interviewed me back in '97. I somehow got hired, but she shot down many an applicant. Perfect for the prep. Good luck to you.

I did interview prep with DeeDee as well. She was awesome and I felt really prepared going into my interview.

+1 for DeeDee and Angie. Both gave me a hefty interview workout. Did Emerald last fall, but the fresh prep with Cage was just what I needed. Used FTI, and can recommend Roy Palmer as an instructor. After his prep session game day was much less stressful.

I did one in ORD last May (it was scheduled back in March). They were very busy at the time. LOR came through about a month later, called to interview in July for end of Aug.

Hummingbear,
I did ECIC in-person seminar last year, did the online seminar as a refresh about 3 weeks prior to interview, then did a 1-on-1 phone interview the week prior...I felt very ready, and after the interview felt like I crushed it. Also did FTI sim prep the day prior with Rich Ford...he was awesome. I got the CJO a week later. Good luck!

Very happy to see the creator of the thread get his shot! Best of luck Hummingbear.

For those of us that want to be as prepared as possible if the invite were to come last minute like the case of Hummingbear, what can we prepare on the side that can be done now in order to focus solely on your interview rather than the small tasks to be accomplished. For example, would having college transcripts and photo copies of our certificates be a good start to avoid having to worry about in the event only 1.5-2 weeks notice is given?

I know many guys have mentioned they have a spreadsheet of their flight times that they present to the interviewers. For us regional guys, I am just curious what a reasonable layout for the flight time spread sheet would consist of?

Finally everyone says to get prep early and not wait until the interview. If I get prep in 2 weeks from now but don't interview for 10-12 months would you still recommend getting started now?

Thanks for any advice and best of luck to you guys going at it in the coming weeks.

Having the transcripts is a good idea. I made a binder with everything they may want based on the gouge posted on the various threads. Only had to grab that one item to satisfy the requirements.

Here is what they wanted me to have:
-Social Security Card
-Radio Telephone license
-All Airman Certificates (copy of both sides) with English proficiency
-College Transcripts – copies ok
-First Class FAA medical (issued within six month of interview)
-Original Logbooks

I just created a basic spreadsheet tha included all columns from both my civilian and military logbooks.

ECIC will stay with you and offer prep (no additional fees) until you get a job, so in my case I had a chance to do in-person seminar prep close to home when I first started the application process (one of the guys at my squadron organized it), so I jumped at the chance. 14 months later, when I got the call to interview, I called them to attend a virtual seminar (online) a few weeks prior to my interview, and made an appointment for a 1-on-1 phone prep/mock-interview the week prior. Great team, great service, lots of experience. I also hear they do sim prep, but I didn't know that at the time and got in with FTI (also great).
