Best advice, beyond getting sim and HR prep, Higher Power DFW and Emerald Coast in my case; is this: organize your resume, take 5 copies with you and put one on the table on front of you. Prior to interview, do your homework on types of ?'s asked and find examples in your resume. Then, in the interview, take a few seconds when asked a TMAAT ?, look at your resume to refresh your memory. Totally worked for me last year.
Look guys, this is a fantastic place to work. Feel free to PM me for interview or app advice. I am also willing to help prep over the phone.
Albie15 is the best out there, if not him, get some HR prep somewhere, and sim prep, well worth the money, for sure!
Pay it foreward!!!!

Definitely need to do the sim and interview prep (Cage, Emerald, etc.)… why blow the one chance you get? I would also recommend that you don't memorize your TMAAT answers… what you need to do is have some solid baseline stories that can cover multiple TMAAT questions… that way you have a variety to choose from when you are stressed. I would caution memorizing how you answer… but more importantly the key points/facts… ending with "how" you learned from the TMAAT situation. Bottom line… these guys are professional interviewers and know when you are fumbling with a story, or seems to canned… be relaxed (as much as you can be), take a 30-45 seconds to gather your thoughts and then start answering. If they think you are lying the interview is done...

Keep in mind that a good answer may answer a later question. This happened to me a couple of times, and it's a good sign. Also, try to have as many non-aviation stories for TMAAT's as possible (where it applies). They may ask for a non-flying story because they want to see what else you do in life, and see what else you have a passion for. IOW, they want to see a life outside of flying.

I honestly think that they just want to hear you talk for a few minutes without spazzing out or sounding like a douche. Just relax, make eye contact with each of the people on the panel, and answer their questions in a direct and friendly manner. Don't overthink it.

This may seem far out there, but is there some education/experience you would NOT want to put somewhere on the app? Example, if you've successfully completed very well known driving/ open wheeled racing multi-day schools and are an alum from them? It seems more and more employers are looking for extremely diverse candidates, but I would think there is a line somewhere.

Because if one was to go down the road of "bad cop" as their interview style, etc, the question could ALWAYS be "so, you like to do dangerous things and engage in risky activities?" etc etc etc
But if one was inclined to include it, make sure to emphasize things like it enhances safety, regulatory compliance, working in dynamic situations, working as a team with the crew, builds comraderie etc etc etc. And if it got you to volunteer with it down the road, even better IMO.
Also, it could be good for some various TMMAT questions;
TMMAT you learned something new?
TMMAT a time you had a problem learning something new?
TMMAT a time you helped somebody out and how was it received?
TMMAT you weren't good at something and how did you fix it?
TMMAT a time someone was critical of you and how did you handle it?
etc etc etc...........

Where are we with hiring?
We continue to interview and hire new pilots. As of this writing, our Recruiting team is expected to hire/recall more than 1,300 pilots between now and April 2016. To date, we've welcomed 572 new pilots to our United family. Of these, 142 have come from the military and 430 are civilian pilots (mostly from regional carriers, but also from corporate/cargo/charters, etc.). With nearly 12,000 applications currently on file, our applicant pool is very experienced. Successful candidates are getting bids on the 737 and A320. I will continue to provide an update on our hiring efforts on a regular basis.
