It was called an accident because a single plaintiff's counsel is saying his client sustained a fracture.

Did anyone who went get a call? I need to know whether to hate these guys because of how they treated me or whether to hate them for how they treated everyone.
Seeing as how they are interviewing 20 or so people in the next week or so, people got called. Aug 24 class will be full, it seems.

People that went have already been called as far as I know.

Nice precedent. Not that it has ever been different. G4 management making public statements that contradict practice. Safety is our number one priority until it cost money.

Is this our first 'hostage' of contract talks? Wonder if there's a chance we can save his job!! What a mess! This will lead to 2nd-guessing safety actions, which could cost lives in the worst cast!! I'm not happy about this AT ALL!!

Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get worse. Speechless.

I imagine that would be up to our union leadership. Everything is negotiable. Problem is that would be a side deal at the end of the process. When will that be a year, two years, three years? Meanwhile the damage to the pilot is done. Lost wages, lost professional reputation that is irrevocably damaged. Top tier pilot positions don’t allow for serious mishaps and/or disciplinary actions.

That’s the danger of working for at will, shady operations with an anti employee culture. If you don’t have a near perfect day all the time, you will be crucified. Being a captain at g4 is like the proverbial cat in the room full of rocking chairs.

So, by show of hands, who here wants to hear the ATC tapes of the VP of Flt Ops (GB) and his First Officer, the Director of Safety (MW) declaring a humiliating emergency because they're running out of fuel after flying all the way to a closed destination. Guess somebody didn't read their notams, huh?
I'm sure they'll blame "the summer heat and their demanding schedules" for failing to read the notams.
