Exactly! "opportunities" aren't necessarily good for the employees expansions of work, rather, good for the bottom line contractions of pay/benefits

The newest podcast put to rest a lot of the fear mongering that has been spread around here. They came just about as close as possible to calling out the posts of OTZ25000/MEAEagle without calling them by name. Just remember that the parts of their posts that turn out to be true are only there to make you pay attention to their fear mongering message.

Not this again... ok check back in three weeks, I have only been honest with you. The Union already knows we will be 20 percent smaller summer 2021 compared to 2019... they are still arguing about what that really means, what it looks like. Fine, sorry they are incapable of figuring this out and how it translates.

Fear mongering would be telling you we are furloughing 1,000 and the company is going bankrupt and we need to all take a 25% pay cut. I don’t believe any of that. We are a really conservative company, they will cut deep to preserve shareholders equity. I bet we make 400 million next year. But we will be smaller, we will furlough close to 400, we will downgrade 200. I was furloughed, I found out the day it happened, no notice. I have the gouge, I was just doing what I wish my union would have done for me, so many years ago. Check back in three weeks, tell me I was fear mongering.

Default Why are you not a union volunteer?!!!

If you know as much as you say you do, why don’t you volunteer to work with the association? It couldn’t possibly take more of your time than you spend posting here.

I have no doubt your numbers will pan out. That's the truth you spread with the rest of your crap. You hand out something true we were all going to learn sooner or later, and then toss in some other crap to imply that the union is holding out on us or incompetent or whatever. It would be easy to believe that since part of what you say is true, that the rest is as well. You try over and over to sew seeds of doubt, and water them with just a little truth to make them grow.
We aren't the angry 800 vs Alaska anymore, we are all just Alaska pilots hitched to the same wagon now, and everyone knows it. The union is more solid than it has ever been. We know tough times are coming now and that there will be some significant pain ahead regardless of what we do. However, now is the most important time to stick together and keep a collective cool head so we don't make mistakes that cost us dearly for years after Covid19 is over.

Really, that is ridiculous and absolutely untrue. I have good friends in prominent roles at the union, they are doing what they can, I would do no better. I spend seconds on this site debunking nonsense, most of my friends give up many hours a day trying help the pilot group.

Just a question, you say you wish to help the pilot group with your inside information, have you passed this knowledge to your reps, the mec, or at the very least in person to your friends in the prominent union positions? If not, then why not, it seems that would serve everyone better than posting on an anonymous message board. If you have, what feedback did you receive from them, is it different than what the union offers the pilot group through their communications?

But you're not debunking anything. Again, we all know we are going to have furloughs and its going to be bad.

You're the poster that keeps throwing out what is apparently privileged information. You do it under the guise of being helpful. However it is anything but.
