As of last week, attrition was up to 26 for the year. Got that from a FO that was in our jumpseat.

That number is just new hires. Retirements and current pilots not of retirement age, have made that number higher.

We have lost several young captains this month too. Ladner said they budgeted for attrition though so its cool guys...

Yes, they haven't run out of options yet.

Absolute worst case, any major which pays $150k+ second year would have no trouble recruiting candidates if the simply paid for their training... advertise that and you'd have applicants with college degrees (probably good ones) and PPL's lined up around the block.

I can't believe that I have to continue to reiterate this-

Alaska's deficiencies run much deeper than W2s. They may come, but once they get a taste, they won't stay.
