Watch out for these guys. They will do anything they can including spreading misinformation to push the JCBA across the line regardless of what’s in it. They just want to fly a wide body.

We are pilots soooooo, no.

As far as only getting what the market will bear, the company is asking for a compressed merger process, that is a bargaining chip we have. I’ll wait to see real news before I get out the pitch forks.

It’s just the reality of our careers. I’ve had this conversation with my father about seniority, career portability being zero, he thinks it’s absolutely ludicrous. It is what it is.

As management, this scene basically encapsulates a seniority system:

One guy posts attrition/hiring lists every first of the month. Look at the attrition for 2025. Compare that to 2022-2023. Leverage is based on those factors.

I feel like you’re just getting pre mad at JCBA that doesn’t even exist. When it comes we will all read it and cast our vote accordingly. No need to raise the cortisol levels over something that’s not real. Same with the SLI out of our control really both pilots group control. And we have no idea how it will turn out. None of this them vs us we are all gonna be one group might as well make friends now

I was referring to the Kool Aid drinker with a podcast that probably 7 people listen to. The one that was insisting that only certain portions of the contract could be changed during the JCBA process.

Great then by that metric delaying the vote till next year when hiring is picking up at all the majors thus increasing attrition and leverage, would be ideal.

Keep preaching how we'll never be able to raise the bar though I’m sure some people will buy into it and take the first ask

If you’re not management shy, you’re sure as he!! there wet dream.

Is it though? Let’s say the JCBA gets stalled for a long while. What’s to stop them from taking delivery of every single 787, putting it in SEA, and staffing it with HAL pilots and execute 12 destinations out of there by 2030?

Nothing. Can they run vacancies for wide bodies under the Alaska pre-SLI after the initial 12 787s?

Nope. Not til after 20 HA orders and options are delivered. HA has dibs on those.

Same way HA pilots can’t bid for 737s. It’s mutual.
