Not the interview part, but definitely the schedule part. Although, I was called and offered an interview while I was sitting in indoc.

How do you guys hear about who is hiring? I finished IOE here at Allegiant in early Dec. I am ready to leave now. I have looked at all of the other airlines forums, but it is hard to tell who is actually hiring and what the procedure is. I wish I had listened to what everyone warned me about this place. You really have to come here and see it for yourself to believe it. I don't see how this place stays in business. I am seriously looking at going back to flight instructing. I feel for all you guys that have many years invested here, but I just can't waste my career away on a place like this. Someone told me there is a website where you can just fill out one application for all the airlines.

We feel your pain. The first 12 months at this company are unbelievable. You literally live to work. What’s more amazing we keep getting questions asking us on this forum; “Is it really that bad?” or “Is commuting really that bad?” Even if you live next to a Florida base, you wont see your home.

Lots of balls in the air right now. Who knows how it will pan out.

Based upon what I've read, I'm shocked that I can't even get an interview here (I have over 9,009 hours and 5 types with lots of international experience). Perhaps, it's not as bad as people claim it is? Otherwise why wouldn't they be calling folks?

Based upon what you've read, why would you WANT an interview?

Well, go to them. Go to HQ, the address is somewhere. Walk through the front door and present yourself to the armed security guard, and ask to speak to the chief pilot. But, do so in a calm voice, keep your hands visible and move slowly and you should be fine. Enjoy.

Thank you for illustrating so eloquently what many of us have been trying to point out for well over a year. As far as your question, you can join AirlineApps for an annual fee and apply to several different airlines at once. The two worthwhile ones are Delta and United. If you do not have the qualifications for a major, there are several regionals that use AirlineApps as well. You can also use it for free if you just want to target one of the airlines they represent. Good luck!

Dude, if you scored the bus walk that puppy over to VA or Spirit. VA pilots under their current pay scale make more and I hear are getting a handsome raise in addition. [Once again. Sigh..]

I WISH I had scored the bus. At least I would have gotten something worthwhile out of this ordeal.

Thank you CLMP, that is the outfit someone told me about but I couldn't remember the name. I hope to find somewhere where I can enjoy flying again, like I used to.
