I'm not miserable. I have become all Zen now, I'm over it not a worry in the world. Like I don't worry about our incompetent allegiant maintenance that left the "Cotter Pin" uninstalled on the tail assembly of the MD80 aircraft which flew as Flight 436 out of Vegas on its way to Peoria on August 17, 2015. Which was the cause of the the nose prematurely lifting off just before V1 at about 130 knots. At least that's what the NTSB found, to which they classified as an accident. Did you catch the Nightly News segment on that one? But hey its all good...
Ohh those passengers on that flight. If they only knew...

My quality of life went up exponentially by coming to Allegiant. Allegiant has a bunch of problems and the pay is pretty bad, but it isn't as bad and hopeless as the regionals. Anyone that says otherwise is lying or has no clue. I have friends doing some expat work. You should hear some of their horror stories. Allegiants problems would be a welcome relief for them. It's all a matter of perspective. That said, we need a good contract and Maury needs to go. I am not pleased with the heavy use of contract mx, even in hubs. My hope is that when Maury goes, he will take his penny pinching ways with him. Our problems here are fixable. It will take the right leadership however.

It's not the legitimate concerns that are annoying. It's the fact that the "usual suspects" can't allow anyone to say anything positive about Allegiant ever. Apparently, many guys on here have been in their bubble so long that they can't imagine that some guys coming to Allegiant actually have it worse than they do. They arrogantly assume that people should stay in a worse place rather than come to Allegiant.

I'm certain that ValueJet had its fair share of "happy to be here" pilots right up to the crash too though. The safety fears here are legit.
I think a lot of the seething tempers are due to the fact that Allegiant could be such a great job if it wasn't for MG. I hope we get a contract soon because it will likely move him on down the road.

I'm in full agreement with everything you said. I think bashing anyone with something positive to say diminishes the true issues raised here.
I'm certain that ValueJet had its fair share of "happy to be here" pilots right up to the crash too though. The safety fears here are legit.

The major issues we have here are from an understaffed maintenance department and a somewhat (being nice) incompetent maintenance control. 99.9% of the issues we have here are not safety of flight issues. Airplanes will not be falling out of the sky because of a high tail temp or because an IRU fails. (Can't speak for the Bus, but it doesn't sound like they're having many issues). So to say that people were happy up to the point of the crash is insinuating we're about to have a crash. I don't think we're any closer to that than SWA, DAL, or any other airline. Again, don't get me wrong.... we have some serious issues.
I totally agree that this place could be great without MG, GB, and a few other people that are apparently incapable of seeing the forrest through the trees.

I hear ya, "Cotter Pins" negligently not being installed by contract maintenance on the MD80 tail assembly that failed on takeoff roll; August 17, 2015, Flight 436 LAS to PIA, that required an extreme high speed RTO, had that been one of our shorter runways and/or the captain actually allowed a lift off.. That is the negligence of our CEO, COO, on down the line.

If the CEO is not responsible for that situation, then who is?

I'm sorry, but where did I say the CEO wasn't responsible?

A few things to consider...
