Just a little thing called...unity
I am surprised to see a lot of people on here, who constantly complain about how senior pilots ruined the industry, how QOL items matter, how all they care is money and themselves
Then when the union puts some unity together, same people complain they are not getting "theirs"
####'ing pilots.

It's not that simple. Everyone wants the furloughed guys to get LOS. They got shafted for a long time.
However, the issue is that it seems management is now drawing a line in the sand over the LOS issue and saying no more stuff fixed outside of section 6.
As a result we won't get min calendar day fixed. That's the issue we have. I doubt APA could predict it would lead to this but it looks like that's what happened.
I'm sure the furloughees would much rather have min calendar day over LOS, just like the rest of the pilot group.
Come 2020 we have to remember we are all on the same team. There's no more east, west, TWA, nAAtives, senior, junior, furloughees, third listers, fourth listers, whatever. If we forget that and don't unify expect to get hosed, again.

I doubt it. Some would go from year 2 to 12, a $50 an hour raise. Year 3 to 12 is a $30 an hour raise. That beats min calendar day for them. I want them to get it. They've been kicked in the balls, particularly TWA guys.

I don't think there are many guys who are on second year pay. The guys who are bypassed recall forever so they had pretty good jobs somewhere else. But I'm sure those guys would rather have LOS.
For most furloughees I'd say it's a $10-15/hr raise. That's a significant amount of money but not huge.

They drive me nuts too, but still better than USAPA. I'm not sure yet if better than ALPA. If they get Min gaurantee and better disability insurance before the next contract I'll be more in favor of them, but that doesn't seem to be their focus. I think they're cutting their own throats and may not be here long term.
