Solid plan. Won't happen. Harmonization and fleet simplification rule the day. 220 is a different type(not really an airbus). AA can get 3 jets worked from 1 training program. They're going to squeeze every last dime out of the 319s. Maybe we can get more for cheAAp from JetBlue when they chaff the handful left that Spirit has.

Recent State of the Airline industry conference where all 3 CEOs present and take questions - Isom alluded that the 777-200s were sticking around for a while due to no adequate replacements.
So we can scrap the rumor of the 772s leaving…. For now.

The last I heard, AA was looking at another life extension and planning on keeping all current A32F aircraft through 2030. But, no longer actively looking for used ones.

I flew 461 a few days ago, that should be NEO #62.

There was a memo a few months back referring to LCD display upgrades, but I don't recall if it affected all basic 32F. It seems AA is heavily investing in upgrading some of those older birds (600 man hour upgrade), some of them have total airframe time over 70,000 hours.

I really don’t think they want to acquire anything new right now. Isom has said our mainline and regional utilization isn’t high enough, adding more jets won’t help that. If they make a play on spirit’s 319s, then I guess they have a plan. Paying down the debt is issue 1 for them.

Listen to Vasu's town hall meeting. They seem pretty happy with the 30+ 787s and 50 321XLRs that are coming in the next couple of years. Throw in a handful of 737s and that is about all of the growth that AA can handle right now.

Domination of the smaller markets of Europe seem to be the goal moving forward, and nothing in Asia. Shannon, Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Brussels, Hamburg, Edinburgh, etc... are all on the menu.

Yep, he even specifically said they won't even start the process of looking for new aircraft until 2027. What we have now and what we have on order is all we are going to get for the rest of this decade I'm afraid.

Amsterdam? On the A321XLR? Amsterdam is flooded of Delta flights out of the USA. Anyway, hope that’s true. It’d be great to have more AA flights to AMS.
