Fairly sure that's one of the reasons I got a call but it was 8 months later...

Ok. I guess I'll hope for the best but not hold my breath. Thanks.

WASHINGTON, March 17 (Reuters) - Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings plans to order more Boeing 747-8 at some point, its chief executive said Tuesday.

"Yes we plan to place more orders," William Flynn told Reuters on the sidelines of an aviation conference.

He said he could not say when such an order might happen.

The cargo and charter airline has so far ordered and taken delivery of 9 of the freighter version of Boeing's latest 747. (Reporting by Jeffrey Dastin, Editing by Tim Hepher)

A buddy of mine lighter on experience than me did the online test and phone interview this week, he's interviewing on 31 Mar. I've had my app in for awhile and attended WAI and had a pretty good conversation with the HR lady there. Should I still expect a possible call to take the test to still make this interview on the 31st, or are they likely already filled up with candidates? I was really hoping to get into an interview this time around. Anyone know anything?

It's certainly possible you could get a call this close to an interview or even closer. In 2013, I was phone screened on a Thursday, (5 Sep) online test that Saturday, called Monday to interview Wednesday (11 Sep). Went from nothing to interview in less than a week. However, as the process has changed slightly, who knows? YMMV...

Default Test problems?

I took the online test this morning but had a few technical missteps which lead to logging three attempts.

1. For my first attempt I used a browser without flash. In the instructions it says to use a computer rather than a tablet, which I did. But in order to minimize the chance of a crash during the test I used a computer with a freshly installed OS and a new browser profile. The system prompted me to install the Flash Plugin in order to proceed and logged a test attempt.

2. After I completed the test my login session had expired and I did not see a score or know if the test results were submitted. It appears this was due to the one hour period of inactivity that elapsed in the non-test window while I was taking the test in the popup window.

3. I logged in again attempting to view a score and questions missed. The system logged a third test attempt.

Has anyone else experienced this? I imagine the session timeout (bullet 2) is hitting everyone. Is it a negative having the system log 3 test attempts?

I think support needs to reset the test if you need another actual attempt. I don't think they look at the software "attempts" as actual test attempts. To be realistic, they probably match your score to your resume/profile without paying any attention to that. I think mine showed 2, IIRC.

Has anyone used the airlineapps resume mailer? Curious how that worked since the questionnaire cannot be attached.

That is not the preferred method to apply. That has been on airlineapps for a long time and it needs to be removed. Please follow the instructions here to successfully apply.

Atlas Air, Inc.

Welcome to Atlas Air Pilot Recruitment

Hiring News:
Resume acceptance window is currently open.

The First Officer minimum requirements below have changed to include restricted ATP holders.

Atlas is currently accepting resumes for First Officer positions and plans to interview this fall. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements below to be considered for employment. Resumes can be emailed to the Company via the crew jobs email address link below. Resumes should be titled by your Last Name, First Name.

As part of the Atlas Air screening process, candidates will be asked to complete a technical exam. If you are selected to take the exam, you will be asked to do so quickly. To be best prepared for the on-line, multiple-choice test, it is recommended applicants review materials they feel may be relevant. Since the test can be described as similar to the ATP written, experienced pilots from varying backgrounds should be comfortable taking the exam.

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Atlas team.
