Note that the first 24 days of sick leave are at full pay, while the rest is at 50%.
And a note to newhires -- sign up for that third year right out of the box. Getting it later involves getting a medical exam and approval is not guaranteed.

Had a message this morning from Atlas. I had passed the online test in early October. The message said the call was to "go over my resume" which I assume is the phone interview.
No idea why it took almost six months from test to call. I had been pursuing Atlas since late 2012. My quals are ~11,000TT and CL-65, B757, & B767 type ratings. Worldwide part 121 in the B767.
Anyway, don't give up if you don't hear anything right after taking the online test. The timeline is apparently quite flexible at that stage! LOL
FWIW, I started with United Airlines earlier this year so I won't be doing the phone interview. I received the invitation for the online test last September about a week after the email that started the UAL process.

Do the pilots at Atlas a favor and at least call HR back and tell them you are no longer interested because you just started a new job. It will help make the point that retaining people is important because they aren't the only ones hiring anymore.

Would you be willing to give a break down of this? If I use the numbers on the APC pay scale page I'm looking at $60k 2nd year pay 767 before per diem. Am I missing something?

A secondary collateral point could be to get their administrative poop in a ground and don't screw with people. If they want to hire them, don't string them along between online test and phone screen, then to F2F invite, THEN if selected, to class date.
JB has a similar problem. Dude passes phase 1, gets the notice he's in phase 2, then waits for MONTHS for a class date. Meanwhile, taking a job elsewhere. When they could have gone to EITHER company, it was simply a matter of "who called first" to offer a class date.

How often does everyone recommend you send in your updated application?
I received one auto email notification from Atlas the first time saying to send it in every 3-6 months but I never got that again. Does anyone update it sooner or is 3 month the standard?

Beyond that, I picked up OT pretty aggressively last summer. I certainly didn't subject myself to being gone all month like some of my comrades, but a 7 day OT trip pays as much as a full month's regular pay (69.95 hours)... It adds up, and shows us that the company could easily pay us more for what we do.
