Congrats to all who were hired. Get ready for a long haul with training. I was in the August 10 747 class, 6 out of the 24 haven't even started OE yet, and are headed back to the sim for PCs sometime soon. Also Senority means nothing here, guys in the class behind are finishing OE ahead of the 6 in the August class. I have no idea how they plan on training as many as they are planning this year. It took me 54 days from the end of training till OE and was lucky to get it done in one 14 day period. Anyways just a heads up on how things work here and good luck to all.

I was out the beginning of January watching a guy get OE who finished class in December. And then again towards the end of January with another guy who finished Miami in December. Both said all those senior to them were called but for some reason were unavailable.

For the 747, how long should you plan on training taking? I have heard 8 to 9 weeks throughout this forum. But is 8 weeks reasonable to expect? If you needed 3 days off during the beginning of week 9 would this be possible? I'm guessing that would be right before your final checkride and rather difficult.
