Atlas Air Hiring

For me, the trick was to prepare and then let it be. The wait can be excruciating when you're hitting the refresh key all day long.

gvinflight, I'm right there with you. I've had a nice, if unplanned, summer vacation, and am ready to get something going. If there is anything my guys on the inside have told me it's relax, be yourself, and be honest. Of course that's easy for them to say, I feel like a kid waiting for school to be out. LOL

All I can do now is to be ready......
Your right. I'm way too far ahead of myself here. I cannot let the determination get the best of me. I have been reading and studying and prepping for the phone and in-person interview, every day, a doa nother step and review and refresh. I need to focus and wait for that phone call. Good call, and thanks!
Good luck givinflight. I hope all your enthusiasm is well rewarded.
Did you pick out your tie yet?

Thanks KYT, strong support is always welcome. I hope the same for you. I look forward to being in class with others such as yourself and Heavy and the many more of us that look to the day of joint the Atlas team. And my tie is the invisible kind. Unless otherwise specified of course. All we can do is keep doing what we are doing. Keeping the faith, working together and maintaining our confidence and focus on that which we choose for our future: Atlas Air. Thanks again for yours and the multitude of fellow pilots' support, lord knows we all need it at times. Hope to see you at the fair on the 8th and in class soon!

Of the 41 hired as of the middle of August this year, they've all ended up either on the 767 in CVG or on the 400 in HSV or ANC. The most junior JFK 400 and 767 F/Os were hired the end of October last year and the most junior 400 F/Os in LAX and CVG were hired about a year ago. The most junior in IAH is an 08 hire.
But Jeff Carlson's latest briefing said to make sure your standing bids are up to date so who knows.

Truer words have not been spoken. Thanks! Ill hold up my glass to you C5 and all the other brethren at Atlas and their support! I was actually thinking about jumpseating on Atlas just to get an idea of the line flying. Maybe build a few more connections. Thoughts?

I'll let a newbie comment on how the rig is affecting first year pay. I'm 3-4 years and based on the Aug 31 paystub it looks like I'll finish the year with 135-140 hours over guarantee. Some months have been 25 hours over, I've had three so far that have just been guarantee. YMMV

satpak you can find all the pay rates online on apc, first year is based on a 50 hr. guarantee and then it goes to 62 hrs. all the bases are different some only get guarantee some get lucky and get more, but like all aviation jobs you always just calculate on getting guarantee. Well that is my philosophy at least......
