Yup! Suze Ormond says if you need it within 5 years, the money should not be in the stock market.

I'm on my 4th airline, and this is the only place I've EVER moved backwards (every 3 or 4 months!!!). So much for coming to UPS for "stability".

What a joke!!

Can I get a do-over?
I'm sorry we are all moving backwards and it sucks but if you think this place is a joke.....go to another airline and make some room for people I know that would give their left you know what to be here.

Well that was your choice dude so don't complain that you are here because you still have one of, if not, the best job in the business.

I really think not all of the ND's that say, "I am here because the market crashed" is BS. I do not doubt some did loose some money, but it is just an easy excuse to give us junior guys, end of conversation.

These guys have plenty of $$ to retire, some just would not know what to do with themselves, others want to keep going to Asia to see their GF's...make a little extra for that last extravagant vacation...whatever it is they are not hurting.

From the horse's mouth, one guy budgets 2K a month for traveling to ANC...airline tix rental cars... I am sure there are more guys that do that....

my 2 cents...

I flew with one F/E, a real nice guy, fun to fly with etc etc, told me his net worth was btween 3-4 million$. When I asked him what he was doing here? he smiled and said " I like this job!'I think realistically alot of folks don't really have a whole lot going on outside the job. My plan is give all over 62 year olds a 5 month vacation, I think many won't come back after experiencing the joy of "retirement"

Vito - Are you going to bid back to the later 20th century now (ie A300 again)? See ya around Dixie...

Those that dont have a life outside of work will probably not live very long after being forced into retirement. Stop kidding yourself if you think it will get better

Is being a manager all you expected? I hope it's working out for ya.
You mean you can't go back to the RJ?

Too bad...

...but hey, perhaps a little cheese with that whine?

BTW, I'll remember your remarks if I'm ever asked to give up pay to keep you from being furloughed. Keep it up.

The best job in the industry? Is that why you're on here everyday checking for furlough rumors?
