I'm pretty sure you can just go to the gate. We have people jumpseat on those flights all of the time. There are two flight deck jumpseats and pilots from other carriers can ride in open FA seats. The jumpseatinfo.org page for Omni has all the info.

For those of you wanting to come here be advised. The company just offered our negotiators a huge insult of an offer for the pilot group and they walked away (good for them). The rumor is the 767-300's have all been sold, so be prepared for furloughs and the company to blame the pilots for this.

Blame us for asking for industry average pay and cutting into the profit margin. Gonna have to threaten to furlough or shut the doors to scare the pilots back in line and accept another crappy contract.

I don't blame the company for trying, it worked last time.

As a first year guy (but over 15 years as a member of a pilot union) I was very disheartened by this announcement.

I completely understand the companies desire to maximize profits and protect their business plan but to only offer take it or leave it proposals doesn't really meet with the spirit of the negotiating format agreed to by both parties.

It looks like we are headed for mediation which will most likely produce a more industry standard contract, but will take years.

The threat of leasing 767 and furloughs before even entering mediation is a very strong arm tactic and will, IMHO only make it more difficult for us to recruit new pilots.

What this pilot group needs to realize is that they will threaten to furlough as a means to negotiate. They did it last time with the threat of furloughing the DC-10 guys and keeping the junior 767 pilots on property. It was just enough of a threat to barely pass our last contract. 6 weeks later the union got a phone that they were parking the DC-10's and furloughing anyway.

It worked last time so they think it will work again. There "magical" flow through with Ameriflight is going to dry up real quick. Why would those guys leave a steady, good paying job to come here and get **** on by the cp, crew scheduling, and travel just to say "I fly a 767 or 777?"

The 1224 helped sell out this pilot group the first time around because we were costing them to much money with ongoing negotiations, but thankfully we now have very competent negotiators and the industry has changed.

We hold the cards this time, we just have to nut up and stand together and we can force a change.

To any one thinking of coming here now.Do your self a favor and just go to Airborne or Atlas for the heavy jet time, because if OMNI sends the 767 airframes to Amazon you will be out of a job,They will not think twice. The other airlines have More pay less work and maybe a better contract in the years to come. Here, it is a private airline that answers to no one. We have had a lot of pilots quit in the last few months, this last threat will make anyone sitting on the fence, jump ship my self included
